I cannot sleep.

I cannot sleep, for fear creeps in the corners of my mind. It wakes me with terror and a fiercely beating heart. 

Nightmares unknowingly fill my subconscious. 

The tragedy that has taken place has shattered so many hearts. 

Yes this is a crime that was in a targeted group, in a specific location. 

Think about how easily it could have been any group, a location unknown.

Think about the times it has been.

The movies, the 188 schools since 2013 where lives have been taken.   

Think of all the places we considered to be safe.

It is a rude awakening when something happens so unexpectedly.

It was a crime of hate, but nonetheless it was a crime. 

That is what should really shake us.

The capability of people with cruel intentions.

No one is ever really safe.
