Manic Monday.

Mondays can be rough. Monday can be especially hard for people with anxiety. It subliminally makes you feel like you are going to have a bunch of dreaded things awaiting you. Morning anxiety is surprisingly common, so I wanted to shed some light on it. If you know this feeling well, I am proud of you for - waking up, getting out of bed, and doing something. Even if your something was just getting out of bed. Because for you it wasn't 'just' getting out of bed, it was a battle. While people's specific triggers vary, anxiety generally makes many everyday tasks feel overwhelming. Avoidance is a common symptom of anxiety disorder — many anxious people would understandably prefer to stay under the covers or at home where it feels safer and where we can feel more in control of our surroundings and company.

Anxiety is incredibly stressful, you'll have some days that are better than others. Everyone has their moments of feeling anxious or nervous. Some people will get through their nerve-racking days, maybe with having white knuckles for half of it, and then go back to feeling like themselves; people with anxiety disorder live in a constant state of nervousness.

Anxiety isn't something that will ever simply 'go away.' Instead, we have to learn how to deal with it, sometimes pushing ourselves to not let the disorder prevent us from living our lives, and do our best to not listen to that irrational voice in our head. I hope this gives you a little insight on why Mondays can be so manic for some of us.
